When you measure your ring size yourself, it is important to make an effort so that you do not face extra hassle if the purchased ring does not fit as desired. You can always go to a jeweler if you are in doubt, but otherwise there are two good methods here that make it easy for you to measure it yourself from home.
Your ring should fit snugly to your finger, ie. close enough that it does not fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle with some resistance.
If you know your knuckle is on the larger side, you should order a half size larger than what your finger alone indicates, otherwise you may not be able to push a ring into the right place.
We recommend that you measure your finger three to four times because your ring size can actually fluctuate depending on the temperature: it can be smaller the colder you are, and it can be larger if you are overheated. Try measuring your finger in the morning and in the evening.
If you are adding two sizes, select the larger size if the ring is wide and the smaller size if the ring is narrow. The reason for this is that a wide ring can feel a bit smaller and vice versa with a narrow ring. If you have a narrow ring with a heavy crown (stone in the middle), it can be tiring if it keeps falling down on the side of the finger due to the weight. If in doubt, go for your gut feeling.
