Sterling silver tarnishes over time, especially when exposed to salt air and products that contain sulfur, such as rubber bands and some papers. However, your skin works the opposite way on the silver, which means that the more often you wear your sterling silver, the less it will tarnish.
When sterling silver jewelry tarnishes, all you have to do is use a small amount of silver cleaner on a soft cloth and gently rub the silver several times. You can simply also use our Silver Polishing Cloth. Then rinse the silver thoroughly in warm water and carefully dry. This will remove the tarnish and dullness, keeping your sterling silver beautiful. Please note that chlorine and bleach worsen tarnishing.
