Most people choose to buy an engagement ring in gold. However, there is no right or wrong when it comes to choosing an engagement ring. Both precious metals are good choices and there are pros and cons to both. If you want a cheaper alternative, silver is a good choice. However, we recommend that you go for gold if you want to have a diamond or sapphire in your ring, as you usually do not compromise on the quality of the precious metal if you plan to add an expensive diamond or sapphire.
A gold ring can of course be worn every day of the week without you having to worry. However, as with any other piece of jewelry, you should of course treat your engagement ring with care. It is inevitable that your ring will get dirty when you wear it every day. The best way to clean your gold engagement ring is by putting the ring in a glass of warm, soapy water. Leave the ring in the water for 20-40 minutes to allow the dirt to dissolve, then take a toothbrush and clean away the dirt. Try to get well under the stone so you can make it shine again.

2. Wrap it around the finger you’ll wear your ring on—if you’re creating a ring stack, consider where on your finger the ring will sit—and mark where it joins with a pen.
3. Lay your string or paper strip on a flat surface and measure the length up to the mark using a ruler. Use the chart above to match the measurement to the closest Abelstedt ring size.
