All our gold plated silver rings are quality checked to ensure that there are exactly 10 microns of gold (3 layers) on the silver. The coating at other jewelry brands is usually 3-5 microns so the coating is very thick on Abelstedt jewelry.
If you have a thin ring, it may be more prone to wear than a wider ring unless you naturally take good care of it. If the ring may have some deep scratches, chemicals can get under the coating which can also cause the coating to not last as desired.
If you want your ring as new, you can go to your nearest jeweler and have them replate the ring with a new layer of gold. We can do this for you as well for a small fee. Feel free to write us an email with your order number and your wish for a replating and we will help as soon as possible.

3. Lay your string or paper strip on a flat surface and measure the length up to the mark using a ruler. Use the chart above to match the measurement to the closest Abelstedt ring size.
