The best way to clean your sapphire ring is using warm water with a small amount of soap and a soft brush, avoiding soaking the stone. Always avoid harsh detergents and never clean your sapphire ring with solvents such as alcohol, acetone, or paint thinner. Avoid cleaning your sapphire ring in an ultrasonic cleaner or steam cleaner as well.
Gemstones can scratch other gemstones and wear away at precious metals. Therefore, avoid stacking those rings that would be vulnerable to such abrasion. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaning and household chemicals can also damage jewelry.
